Property Strategist at Region Blekinge

About Us

The Regional Properties Unit's main task is to offer our tenants operationally adapted and suitable premises. Region Blekinge has approximately 290,000 m2 of premises, mainly distributed across hospitals and health centers.

The unit consists of 6 departments responsible for property management, construction technology, construction projects, and operations and service in eastern and western Blekinge. The Property Management Department is responsible for providing premises for all of Region Blekinge's operations. About ten employees work in the department with tasks including property management and development, property documentation, property economics, planned maintenance, energy efficiency, fire protection, and tenant contacts.

About the Job

As a Property Strategist, you will be responsible for coordinating, following up, and developing Region Blekinge's long-term work with premises supply to ensure that properties and buildings are utilized appropriately and cost-effectively. The role includes clarifying Region Blekinge's future assignments, working methods, and flows related to local needs and property development, as well as contributing to the efficient use of resources within Regional Properties.

You will work with overarching strategic premises supply issues by ensuring that property development plans, plans regarding traffic/parking, logistics, design, land, etc., are developed and updated. You will conduct needs analyses, preliminary studies, and simpler investigations in collaboration, but also strategically with investment planning and investment calculations, as well as key figures for space requirements in both existing and new property stock.

The role will act as a spider in the web between various competencies; for example, architects, property managers, project managers, and not least strategic functions in Region Blekinge's operations. The work will be outward-facing with a strong focus on collaboration, and an important part of the job as a Property Strategist is to actively network and participate in environmental monitoring within the area of responsibility.

About You

To succeed in this role, you need to be proactive, structured, and efficient, as well as good at planning and organizing your work and various activities. You need to be goal-oriented and able to handle complex issues and problems. Since the role involves a lot of collaboration and cooperation, it is important that you have good listening skills and the ability to create participation, that you can lead and coordinate meetings and, in some cases, working groups. You should be a good communicator and thrive in a role with a lot of networking, as there will be many internal and external contacts in the position:

Important for the Position:

Requirements

  • Relevant higher education in the property field or equivalent education and competence deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Several years of experience in property development and/or local development issues.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Driving license B.

Meritorious

  • Project management training.
  • Training or experience in process-based working methods.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Region Blekinge places all permanent employees in a military reserve position. Some of our positions are security classified, which means that the employee must undergo a security vetting interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). The position is a permanent full-time position with a start date to be agreed upon. The place of employment is Karlskrona.
